Research & Writing

Christina is a researcher with experience designing, managing and implementing desk and field research projects on pressing legal, human rights and gender equality topics. She has conducted field research in a range of communities, taking a human-rights based and inclusive approach to her work. She has produced a range of published research reports, academic articles and public legal awareness and advocacy materials for non-governmental and international organizations.

As a qualified Canadian lawyer Christina has provided legal and human rights advisory services on domestic, regional and international law to non-governmental organizations, international organizations, governments and private clients. She has specific expertise on gender and child rights issues.

Training & Facilitation

Christina provides training and facilitation services, including for capacity development programs, for a range of audiences, including lawyers, government officials, police and civil society representatives. She has experience designing tailored curricula and evaluation tools and delivering participatory, contextualized training sessions on human rights and rule of law issues. She also has experience facilitating public consultations and focus groups.

She has led rule of law and access to justice projects with a strong focus on women’s access to justice and gender-based violence. Projects include legal capacity building and training programs, community legal awareness initiatives and research projects. She has played a leading role in successful grant applications with multilateral donors including the European Union and UN agencies.
